The Elephants In The Room
How does anxiety looks like?
Our bodies protects us from emotions we are not equipped to handle, by mercyfully cutting the contact to them. When they do return, they can feel overwhelming and unfamiliar, but to refuse them can develop panic or anxiety. I staged myself, placing difficult emotions I didnt understand on a pidestall in a classic white cube, to objectify them so I could be able to work with them on a safe distance. I also wanted to visualize how these new emotions or situation was experienced in my own body, to see them physically infront of me. This as an exercise in expanding my own window of tolerance.
